Gem Castillo, the wife of Mayor Vicente Amante of San Pablo City, submitted her Certificate of Candidacy on October 7th as an aspirant for Vice Governor of the Province of Laguna.
The captains of 80 barangays in San Pablo City showed their support for the First Lady, Gem Castillo, along with all the members of the City Council.
Supporters poured into the capitol hall, including the San Pablo Public Market Coalition Vendors, with a large convoy of vehicles led by their president, Janice Monfero, showing solid love and support.
“We will scrutinize the laws passed by the Provincial Council to ensure they benefit the people,” she stated in an interview after filing. She emphasized the need to focus on district hospitals in all towns of the third district, expanding and addressing health issues.
Education will also be expanded. The needs of the Department of Education and scholarship programs will be promoted. Her inspiration is Mayor Vic Amante’s programs in San Pablo City.
