Laguna FAES-OPAg conducts Training on Alternative Fish Feeds Production


Sta. Cruz, Laguna – The Field Agricultural Extension Services-Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (FAES-OPAg) conducted Training on Alternative Fish Feeds Production at the FAES-OPAg Training Hall, Demonstration Farm in Brgy. Calios on 08 November 2024.

Twenty-nine (29) fisherfolks from San Pablo City, Cavinti and Nagcarlan  participated in the 1-day training on making their own fish feeds, with lectures on the benefits and hands-on preparation of such feeds. Knowledge gained from these will help them minimize cost of production and can also serve as additional source of income.

Provincial Fishery Coordinator Mr. Ernesto Jara led the training team composed of OPAg staff Ms. Jezreel Antioquia, Ms. Arnie Regalo, Mr. Lazaro Garcia and Mr. Joey Cabigan, who shared with the participants the fish feeds produced during the training. 

Through the OPAg headed by Provincial Agriculturist Mr. Marlon P. Tobias, Governor Ramil L. Hernandez and the provincial government are committed to implementing fishery programs for fisherfolks in the province to be more productive and self-sufficient. (Photo by FAES-OPAg/Laguna PIO)
