Faster Access to Manila as San Pedro SLEX Ramps Opens



San Pedro City entry / Exit ramp officialy opened to the public last  August 1,2025 to make significant milestone in local mobility improvements around the area.

USEC Eugenio R Pipo represented DPWH at the said event, together with Regional Director 4-A Jovel G.Mendoza and the assistant Director Henry Alcantara, reflecting the agency's regional involvement.

Governor Sol Aragones  participated the ceremony and expressed grattitude to those who supported the project, Mayor Arlene Arcillas of San Pedro provided context about the need for the interchange, explaining that while entry was easy, exciting was problematic hence the advocacy for a north bound exit benefits of the entry.

Officials from San Miguel Holding Corporation,including CFO Raul Eduardo C Romulo were also present to express appreciation,acknowledging the interchange's potential to improve accessibility and mobility for residents and commuters.

The new interchange cuts travel time by about 45 minutes heading to Manila South Road to Susanna heights in Muntinlupa. Approximately 10,000 motorist per day are expected to benefits, according to the Department  of Transportation., Executive Director Arturo Tugade, was there as part of regulatory oversight for the newly operational intercahnge

Rep. Ann Matibag of San Pedro Laguna 1st Displayed a major role, pushing the project forward through persistent coordination and advocasy. She insisted her office is always available in anykind of help  with regard to improvement of the toll

Local and southbound commuters now have direct and faster access to Slex northbound,easing congestion in San Pedro and sourrounding areas.
