San Pablo City, October 8, 2024 – Barbie Diaz, a prominent young leader and model, has officially filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for City Councilor in San Pablo City under the Amante-Colago party. Diaz, known as the "Filipina Barbie," aims to be the voice of the youth in the city council.
Barbie Diaz is the daughter of former three-term City Councilor Rondel “RD” Diaz. Following in her father's footsteps, she has been actively involved in public service from a young age. 
Currently, Diaz is a third-year law student at San Beda University and a graduate of Legal Management from the University of Santo Tomas (UST). She also serves as a sergeant in the Philippine Air Force Reserve and holds leadership positions as the President of Leos Lions SP Infinity and the Alliance of Youth Organizations Educators and Students (AYOeS).
In addition to her academic and military commitments, Diaz is a successful young entrepreneur and model. Her candidacy is supported by Mayor Vicente Amante and the entire team, who believe in her potential as a new generation leader.
Diaz expressed her gratitude for the support she has received and emphasized the need for fresh, dynamic leadership in today's society. "Magiging boses ng kabataan sa konseho," she promised, highlighting her commitment to representing the youth in the city council.
